Ottawa remains the pool capital of Ontario for another year

Swimming pools continue to be a popular addition to properties throughout Ontario despite experiencing about a 27% decrease in the number of pool permits issued in 2022 (6,617). 

The city of Ottawa remains the swimming pool capital for a third straight year with 780 pool permits in 2022. The city of Hamilton continued to hold the second spot with 442 permits, followed by the city of London with 280. The town of Oakville, which held the third spot in 2021, tied for ninth place with the city of Windsor with 107 pool permits issued in 2022.
