MPAC wraps up a successful spring season of municipal conferences
This spring has been a busy and productive season for MPAC. We caught up with municipal representatives and other stakeholders at key conferences, which provided valuable opportunities to discuss challenges, share insights, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Our presentation at the Northern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) Conference in Thunder Bay was well received by attendees. We showcased several initiatives, including our Data Sharing and Services Agreement and MPAC’s Corporate Data Strategy. We shared MPAC’s efforts to provide actionable insights, drive new municipal revenue by assessing new construction, and maximize data-sharing capabilities. We also discussed MPAC’s modernization and innovation initiatives and how we are continually working to support municipalities and their communities.
The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) Conference in Mississauga allowed us to engage with stakeholders in the business community. At the event, our Municipal and Stakeholder Relations team discussed how MPAC supports Ontario’s vibrant Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) and the broader community.
In Orillia, the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities (OSUM) Conference provided a forum for MPAC’s Municipal and Stakeholder Relations team to connect with leaders from small cities and towns across Ontario. The constructive conversations we shared centred on municipal challenges and how MPAC can support their growth and development.
At the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) Conference in Greater Sudbury, our team had the opportunity to share how MPAC supports municipalities in northeastern Ontario. We hosted a session that focused on how MPAC keeps Ontario’s property inventory up to date, works closely with municipal partners to generate new revenue sources, and provides value to property owners.
We also made our way down to Niagara-on-the-Lake to attend the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association (OMAA) Spring Workshop. The event reinforced MPAC’s commitment to supporting our municipal partners through regular engagement and collaboration, and it provided our team another opportunity to connect with delegates and exchange valuable information and insights.
MPAC’s active participation in these conferences underscores our dedication to enhancing communication, transparency, and collaboration with municipalities across Ontario. These events are an excellent platform for sharing updates and best practices and for learning something new each time. The insights we gain from these interactions help guide our efforts and initiatives to improve service delivery and support community growth.
