Long Description New Residential Homes

In 2022, Ontario saw more than 48,000 new residential homes constructed. Here’s the breakdown by type. New detached homes increased to 25,727 in 2022, up from 23,279 in 2021; new residential condominiums decreased to 7,097, down from 11,331; new semi-detached homes increased to 2,626, up from 2,461; new other residential home types increased to 721, up from 706; and new townhouses increased to 10,484, up from 10,350.
